Since my last entry I've graduated from high school. Besides feeling frustrated and pissed off that I have to study this time around, I feel nothing.

Here are a few photos.

Remember that post in which I said something along the lines of 'it's been a while since I last purchased a magazine'? I purchased three this week. #success

yoyos

For my Legal Studies class party we have to each bring in something beginning with the first letter of our first or surnames. At first it felt like a curse to have this condition imposed on us but then I realised I could be lazy and make yoyo's. They're ginger kisses (or something) with cream in the middle. I cut up some sour straps and spun them around the filling to make the yoyo strings and decorated the tops with blue and pink icing and cachous because the tops were looking plain.

Currently I'm feeling extremely jealous/envious. I don't even know the difference; I can't even distinguish between the two because I'm permanently one of them. Listening to the Hush Sound I wish I didn't have my man voice and could play an instrument. If only singing off-key in my man-voice and without a steady rhythm was admirable.

This morning I tried to exercise, I couldn't even get to an hour so I stopped to take an internet break. A break which lasted about two hours and proceeded to finish Man About Town. That magazine is so fucking amazing I cannot even begin to express. The layout is divine in its simplicity and elegance and the interviews are kind of cheekily humorous. Par exemple in Philip Utz's interview with Kris van Asche:
So here's the deal: you give me a silk and cashmere blend suit, and I give you a silky-smooth ride of an interview
...So much for journalistic integrity

...

Am I right in thinking you have just renewed your contract for another three years at Dior Homme?
...

Would that be a "yes" or a "no"?
Your chancing of landing that silk and cashmere blend suit are growing slimmer by the minute. But if you really have to know whether I'm having any trouble with my contract at Dior, well the answer is no. No trouble whatsoever.

Brilliant, is it not?!

And that interview with Charlotte Gainsbourg... I. DIE. However, I had to skip that interview with Aaron Johnson even though he made the cover because I still can't get past the fact that he's only 20, impregnated Sam Taylor-Wood and is marrying her. That's some twisted shit there and I do not need that circulating my mind not now, not ever. #beingcloseminded #yeahI'mawareI'mcontradictingmyself #butreallyyouallknowIsuck

Reading Man About Town made me realise how long it's been since I've bought a magazine.

I was going to start a new weekly post thing called 'Film Friday' where I watch films and give half-assed reviews and post them on Fridays but then I got too lazy. However, I have a few films on my list including Love the Hard Way, This is England and Cemetery Junction. Also, I'm looking forward to watching that documentary Banksy did, Exit Through the Gift Shop. HSC? What HSC?

Here's Queen Charlotte for your time:

Sneak peak!

I don't think I'll be drawing a dragon anytime soon, or any fantasy creature for that matter. It's kind of lol-worthy and ironic how I don't actually like drawing/painting at all yet I've done VA for the past six years of schooling.

From this image you can clearly tell I didn't pay attention to actual form at all and that everything was half assed. In the extremely unlikely case of a teacher stumbling onto this post I'll be embarrassed beyond belief.

As much as it pains me to say, I'm actually enjoying the slightly warmer weather Sydney is experiencing right now. There's just enough sunlight streaming through my window to enjoy a magazine (or book even) yet it's not so strong that it affects the climate of my room. The rest of the day I'm going to devote it to finishing the issue of Man About Town I bought almost two months ago. Actually, to be honest, I'm only doing this because this morning Ma and Pa decided to a housecleaning and my room is so neat right now I want to enjoy it before I mess it up again.

A couple of weeks ago (I think it was the morning of the UTS Open Day) Ma and Pa took my brother to some tutoring centre (at some ridiculous hour of 0900h or something even earlier on a Saturday) and came across some secondhand market. My mum and I share a love for small homewares and decorations and this candle holder caught my mother's eye. I love how the three panes are arranged so simply and elegantly. In the dark the candle light is refracted so amazingly on the surface the candleholder stands. In the day (like right now) the candle light is reflected around on the panes, giving the illusion I've lit more candles. (hashtag environmentally friendly)

Oh! Also I'm still figuring out what to wear tonight. I have shoes, pants and jewellery down, but what to do wear on top and how am I going to do hair and makeup?

fyt:

One of the most amazing ice creams I have ever tried. Definitely in my top 5.

OH NO ONO

I don't really care for George Craig and his band One Night Only (okay, I don't care at all) but this video of George Craig singing an acoustic version of 'Chemistry' is just too cute. I love how as he sings he gathers a following who actually follow him up several flights of stairs.

I'm not very good a segues, so there's no segue to the rest of my post.

Basically for the past week I've been on a TV serial marathon. I don't think there's been a day this week I haven't watched at least two episodes of a TV serial. This all started last week as I was hunting for new things to watch and found a link to Mistresses. I proceeded to download all three seasons of it (thankful that there are only 16 episodes in total). Such a sucker for silly dramas. I can't/couldn't yet find the download for the Rachel Zoe Project s03e05 so I began downloading from season 1. Holy shit. I. DIE. Am I going to look like a complete fool when I incorporate her trademark sayings in my vernacular? Absofuckinglutely. Do I care? Hael naw.

Speaking of vernacular (OH LOOK A SEGUE!), I still haven't really incorporated certain language elements from Generation Kill. I must remind myself to tell others 'stay frosty' when I part from them.
